Cookies & similar technologies

Cookie Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies associated with appparallax.com, operated by AppParallax LLC. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. They can support functions such as sign-in, preferences, security, and measurement. Session cookies generally end with the browsing session; persistent cookies remain until their expiry or deletion.

Our website features

The supplied AppParallax theme does not set advertising, audience-measurement, or cross-site tracking cookies and does not load third-party fonts, embedded videos, or social-media widgets. The installed contact plugin, hosting, security features, and any additional plugins are configured separately. Viewing the DGH examples does not connect your browser to Microsoft Teams.

WordPress, hosting, or security features may use cookies for authentication, functionality, or protection. Cookies present can depend on whether you visit a login page, sign in, or use additional services. The following describes relevant WordPress cookie categories, not a claim that every visitor receives every cookie.

Cookie or categoryPurposeWhen relevant
wordpress_test_cookieChecks whether the browser accepts cookies.WordPress sign-in.
wordpress_[hash] and related authentication cookiesAuthenticate authorized users. After sign-in; expiry depends on session settings.
wordpress_logged_in_[hash]Recognizes a signed-in session.Authorized site users.
wp-settings-*Stores interface preferences.WordPress users and administration.
wp_langRemembers a selected sign-in language during a session.WordPress login language selection.
Hosting or security functionalityMay support delivery, abuse prevention, or security.Depends on the hosting service and configuration.

The contact form

The form includes a verification token in its HTML and uses a temporary server-side rate limit based on a hashed network identifier. These mechanisms are not advertising cookies. The installed contact plugin controls rate-limit duration and cleanup; these server-side records are separate from browser cookies. Hosting logs and email records are separate and are addressed in our Privacy Policy.

Duration and provider details

Session cookies generally expire when the session ends. Persistent authentication and preference cookies use the duration configured by WordPress and the sign-in choice; hosts and security providers set their own durations. Browser cookie settings show the actual name, domain, and expiry of cookies present on your device. Contact us for help identifying a provider or purpose. This category list is not an assertion that every named cookie is installed on a public visit.

Your choices

You can use browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect sign-in or other functionality. Deleting cookies in one browser does not delete them in another browser or device. The supplied theme has no optional tracking categories to switch on through a consent banner. Optional technologies requiring consent must remain disabled until the required consent is obtained; a policy notice alone is not consent.

If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, or other technologies requiring additional choices or consent, we will update the relevant disclosures and controls as applicable. Contact us if you have questions about a cookie you encounter.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site changes and will revise the effective date. Contact andrew@appparallax.com or write to AppParallax LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
