Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
This policy explains how AppParallax LLC handles personal information from appparallax.com, prospective customers, and related business or support correspondence. AppParallax LLC is responsible for the purposes and means of that processing (the controller where that term applies). For privacy questions or requests, email andrew@appparallax.com or use the mailing address below.
Information and sources
We receive the name, business email address, optional company information, inquiry topic, message, and subsequent correspondence you or your organization provide. Support information can include product version, request identifiers, diagnostic messages, and redacted screenshots you choose to supply. We may also receive business contact information and inquiry details from Microsoft Marketplace when you request contact through a listing. Please do not submit patient information, passwords, financial account details, or confidential documents through the public form.
Our website, hosting, email, and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, delivery information, and error records. The installed contact form uses a temporary hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions; hashing does not necessarily make that identifier anonymous.
Purposes and legal bases
We use this information to answer inquiries, arrange discussions, provide requested services and support, manage customer relationships, maintain business records, operate and protect the website, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. An inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Where the GDPR or similar rules require a legal basis, we rely on steps you request before entering a contract and performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in responding to business contacts, managing business relationships, securing services, and maintaining appropriate records, balanced against individual rights; and compliance with applicable legal obligations. Where a particular activity requires consent, we request it separately and you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not treat acceptance of website terms as blanket privacy consent.
Recipients and sharing
Hosting, email, security, administration, and professional-service providers may process information to provide services to us under applicable confidentiality and data-protection duties. Microsoft handles Marketplace activity under its own terms and privacy notice. We may disclose information when required by law, to establish or defend legal claims, protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer with appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
Document Governance Hub
DGH is customer-installed. Its ordinary workflow uses customer-controlled Microsoft services and customer-owned connections rather than an AppParallax-hosted document repository. The customer determines how its workflow data is used. See the DGH Privacy & Data Handling Notice for product records, support access, and requests concerning customer-controlled information.
Cookies and browser signals
The supplied AppParallax theme does not load advertising pixels, analytics, third-party fonts, embedded videos, or social widgets. WordPress, the installed contact plugin, hosting, security services, and any subsequently added plugins must be assessed separately. Our Cookie Policy describes the supplied features. These features do not change behavior in response to Do Not Track signals. We do not use inquiry information for targeted advertising; applicable privacy rights can be exercised through the contact below.
Retention
Inquiry and support correspondence is retained for the period needed to respond, manage the relationship, provide support, and resolve follow-up questions or disputes. Contract, invoice, and transaction records may need longer retention for accounting, tax, limitation-period, and other legal obligations. Technical logs and abuse-prevention records are retained for operational and security purposes. Actual retention depends on the record type, continuing need, provider settings, legal holds, and backup cycles. We delete or de-identify records when those purposes no longer justify retention; a deletion request may be subject to a lawful retention exception.
Your rights and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access or a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal information; object to processing based on legitimate interests; or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. Contact andrew@appparallax.com with enough information to identify the request, without sending identity documents or secrets unless a secure verification method is agreed. We may take proportionate steps to verify identity and authority. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any applicable refusal or extension. We do not discriminate for exercising a privacy right.
You may lodge a complaint with your competent data-protection authority, including in your place of habitual residence, work, or an alleged infringement where the GDPR applies. You do not have to contact us first. Where law provides an appeal of a denied request, reply to our decision asking for a privacy appeal; we will review it and explain the outcome and any further complaint route.
International processing
AppParallax is a Wyoming, United States company. Information may be accessed or processed in the United States and other countries where AppParallax personnel or its providers operate; it is not promised to remain solely in the United States or in your country. Where applicable law restricts a transfer, the relevant transfer must have a permitted basis and safeguards, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, together with any required supplementary measures. Contact us for information about the recipients, destinations, and safeguards relevant to your information or a copy of applicable safeguards, subject to lawful redactions. This notice does not represent that AppParallax holds a Data Privacy Framework certification.
Security and automated decisions
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. No system guarantees absolute security. The public inquiry process is not intended to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.
Children, links, and changes
This business website is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information. External services have their own policies. We post material policy changes with a revised effective date and give additional notice where required. The effective date does not automatically change each time the page is viewed.
